The big news in mixed martial arts is that our UFC on Fox Sports 1 countdown clocks have reached hours not days!

The main card fighters all squared off this morning in three delightful posedowns.
You can see the full pre-fight press conference here:

-Speaking of Chael Sonnen, Antonio 'Lil Nog' Nogueira believes that his next opponent will be one he is more than familiar with. After Shogun knocks out Sonnen, Lil Nog believes they will cross paths once again,

"That fight (Sonnen) doesn't interest me because I want to fight the best, and there are a lot of fighters that are better than him, including Shogun, Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans. Chael talks trash, he's pure marketing. If we keep talking about him, that's what he wants. He fought three times for the world title and got beat up. He tried to make his name when Anderson was fighting him injured, and we all saw what happened in the second fight. I want to fight again this year, absolutely. (Shogun) is good fight, a good option for me. I'm a lot better now, back to boxing training already. I have trained jiu-jitsu last Saturday and it was a little painful, but I believe I'll be ready to train hard in a month."

This might be bad blood on Nogueira's part after the harsh words that Sonnen has spouted about Brazil and the Nogueira twins, including this ditty,

"I was in Las Vegas when the Nogueira brothers first touched down in America. There was a bus, this is a true story. There was a bus that pulled up to a red light, and Little Nog tried to feed it a carrot, while Big Nog was petting it. He thought it was a horse. This really happened. He tried to feed a bus a carrot, and now you're telling me this country has computers? I didn't know that!"

-In other Chael news, he has been talking up a third bout with Anderson Silva. But that won't happen until Anderson rematches Chris Weidman in late December.

Sonnen didn't stop there, he wants to get in the octagon with Silva any way possible,

"I'm putting in an application. I'm going to try to get my referee's license, and I'm hoping to officiate Weidman vs. Silva. Whether they assign me to it or not, I've reffed plenty of matches in other jurisdictions, and I'm applying for that one in Nevada."

None of this matters unless Sonnen gets passed Shogun this Saturday.

-Finally, TUF 18 is set to air September 4th. The full official cast has been released.
