Hot For Teacher Essay

A college student's lawsuit has been thrown out of a Detroit courtroom.

A judge ruled that Joseph Corlett's didn't have the First Amendment right to express his sexual attraction for his instructor.

Corlett's paper was titled "Hot For Teacher" and he described his instructor as "stacked" and topically compared her to Gilligan's Island character Ginger.

He was originally suspended in 2012 after turning in his paper. But he felt that his rights had been infringed on because the instructor told the English 380 class to write honestly and that no topic was off limits.

The case was quickly thrown out of court. Although Corlett hasn't been banned from the school, if he does want to return he must undergo sensitivity counseling.
