Flying Car

There is not much that separates us from a world with a flying car. Right now it's legislation and a proper battery.

Yeah, picture something like the Jetsons. A car fused with airplane wings and you pretty much have the Terrafugia-concept. Carl Dietrich the company's co-founder and CEO is in shock that the car is not on the road....or the air already.

He cites environmental safety as the biggest winners because of recent traffic congestion reports. The economic and environmental benefits far outweigh the negatives in the situation.

With a cruising speed of 100 miles per hour in the air and gas mileage of about 35 to the gallon on the ground, Terrafugia's first model of flying car exists already.

But before you go out and get your learner's pilot permit keep in mind that you better have some change to support it. As of right now the model will cost roughly around $279,000.
